Description
And who is my neighbor?
It’s time to make some choices. It’s time to help the man on the side of the road. The merchant is robbed and left half dead. Today, great numbers of poor will be robbed of healthcare and many without affordable health insurance will die.
–Adapted from Jim Wallis, Sojourners, June 2017
The Good Samaritan is calling us to see, respond, help comfort and restore, as if those left wounded on the side of the street were our very own. Healthcare is not about, “me and mine,” but “we and ours.”
–John Hay, Jr. Sojourners, August 2009
